When: November 9th, 2024
Marco Island Meals of Hope 2024 packaging event will be at the Marco Island Charter Middle School on Saturday, November 9th. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and everyone shall be packaging by 8:30 a.m. The event is being held in the GYM with A/C again.
Approximately 500 volunteers are needed for the event. Volunteers will staff 14-foot stations with 10-13 people per station. Stations will be distanced to minimize contact between participants. Face masks are optional, but gloves shall be worn by all handing food products as well as hair nets unless you bring your own hat or other hair covering.
The COVID -19 pandemic has changed the conduct of this event as well as increased need for the meals packaged by volunteers. Pre Event – Meals of Hope After Five’s
Why: This is a fundraiser to benefit Meals of Hope. All proceeds will go to purchase raw food materials for the November 2024 – Meals of Hope packaging event. We are proud that the packaging event is a joint effort of the Marco Island Sunrise and the Noontime Rotary Clubs and the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island.
What else: Of course you will have the opportunity to purchase Meals of Hope tee shirts, hats, 50/50 raffle tickets.
